Chocolate Gravy and Biscuits

This rich and and delicious chocolate gravy takes biscuits to a whole new level.  Once you try theses, you'll never want to go back to the traditional version!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 tbsp cocoa
  • 1/8 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla
  • 1/3 cup milk
  • 3 cans Grand's Jr. Buttermilk Biscuits small cans

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.  Once it's preheated, bake biscuits according to directions on can.
  • Mix first three dry ingredients together in a bowl
  • Add the next three ingredients to a saucepan.  Over medium heat begin cooking the butter vanilla and milk. 
  • Once butter begins to melt, add the sugar mixture.  Continue cooking and stirring until the mixture comes almost to a boil, but DO NOT LET BOIL.  Reduce the heat to low and cook for five minutes, stirring often.
  • Serve biscuits open-face style with chocolate gravy over the top.
