Chocolate Pie
A delicious homemade custard in a pie shell. You chose the topping, meringue or whipped cream!

Ingredients
- 2 ½ c milk
- 1 c sugar
- 5 tbsp flour
- 3 egg yolks
- 4 tbsp cocoa
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 prepared pie shell
Instructions
- In a saucepan mix milk, sugar, flour, egg yolks and cocoa. Cook on medium heat until mixture starts to bubble and thicken. Once it thickens and reaches a pudding consistency, remove from heat and stir in vanilla and butter until well incorporated and smooth.
- Pour pudding into a prepared pie shell.
- Let pie completely cool before topping with shipped cream
