Italian Beef

Delicious slow cooked beef with Italian seasonings.

Ingredients

  • 4 lb sirloin tip roast
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 5 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp ground red pepper
  • 1 medium onion
  • 3 tsp italian seasoning
  • 1 can beef broth
  • 1/2 can beer
  • 4-5 pepperoncini

Instructions

  • Peel onion and place in the bottom of the slow cooker.
  • Place roast on top of onion.   Sprinkle Italian seasoning and red pepper on top. Place bay leaf and peppers in the slow cooker.
  • Add all liquid around the roast.  Cook on low for 8 hours.
  • Remove roast from slow cooker, shred. 
  • Put meat back in juices in slow cooker and set slow cooker to warm setting.  Serve on toasted hoagie or pub rolls.
